Webinar: Do Residential Ventilation Rates Affect Respiratory Health?

William Fisk, Senior Scientist in the Indoor Environment Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). For 40 years, William Fisk has conducted research on indoor air quality and its effects on occupants. Since 2003, he has led the indoor environment research program at LBNL. He has authored more than 120 related journal articles and is a member of the International Academy of Indoor Air Sciences and a fellow of ASHRAE.

Rates of outside air ventilation in homes influence heating and cooling costs and indoor air quality. Do these ventilation rates also influence the respiratory health of the occupants of homes? This presentation will review the empirical evidence from 20 studies on residential ventilation, including 8 intervention studies.
