Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several tree species, and is used mainly as an aromatic condiment and flavoring additive in a wide variety of cuisines.

Ceylon cinnamon, also known as true cinnamon or Mexican cinnamon, originates from Sri Lanka. Ceylon cinnamon is mildly sweet and typically a light reddish brown color.
