NIH Minority Health and Health Disparities Strategic Plan Community Engagement Listening Session

May 30, 2018 @ 4:30 am - 8:30 am

The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will be in Atlanta on Wednesday, May 30 to obtain community input on the NIH Minority Health and Health Disparities Strategic Plan. They have already heard from their research and academic partners and are now looking to learn from you, our community stakeholders.

Region 4 is heavily impacted by health disparities. Although great strides have been made in health outcomes in some areas of the country, Americans in the southern states are more likely to live sicker, shorter lives. It’s about time that community stakeholders had a seat at the table. Let’s show the NIH that the people of Region 4 are committed to addressing health disparities and want their voices heard. I have attached a flyer with more information. Please register and plan to attend and encourage your partners to do the same.
